Singer:

Stephanie French's sound is a melodious blend of Neo-Soul, Jazz, and Gospel. As if Erykah Badu and Whitney Houston joined forces to sing on a Robert Glasper track.  Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Stephanie has been singing since the age of two, with her first big performance being at the Jubilee Auditorium for The National Black Coalition of Canada's (NBCC) annual Gospel Concert in Edmonton. Stephanie continued to sing annually for the NBCC’s Gospel Night. She also sang around the city and the province. Additionally, she taught music lessons and went to MacEwan University to study Vocal Performance before moving to Toronto, ON.

In Toronto, she has performed at the Black Diamond Ball in 2022 and has opened for the TTC’s Black History Month Ceremony in 2025 and 2026. She sings for events hosted by the Blackhurst Cultural Centre, records background vocals for multiple local and international artists, and is still performing in both the GTA and Edmonton.  Stephanie enjoys connecting with audiences through a joint musical experience, encouraging audiences to sing and dance along. 

Poet:

Poetically, Stephanie has released a poetry book titled “i am” that looks into race, spirituality, gender, and both familial and platonic relationships. When she is not writing books, she is captivating audiences with powerful, introspective poems. Some poems can be heard on her EP, “Diary of Stephanie”. She’s also known for reciting pieces she's recently written for audiences. She is currently working on her second poetry book, so stay tuned!

Educator:

As an educator, Stephanie believes in using music as a way to empower artists through individualized lessons and encouragement. With over a decade of teaching experience, Stephanie has found joy and ease in supporting upcoming singers, songwriters, and rappers to find their unique voice.
