Stephanie French is a Canadian singer-songwriter and poet influenced by artists such as Erykah Badu, and Jill Scott. Both musically and poetically she touches on personal experiences, her love for people, the black community and God.

Originally from the province of Alberta, Stephanie is currently making music in the Greater Toronto Area. Hear her on her debut EP Diary of Stephanie and her two singles In Tune and He Is streaming now on all platforms. She can also be heard on a variety of Canadian-based projects such as the fan favourite collaboration “Black Everyday” by Arlo Maverick, and Vinny On One’s “Here”.

Stephanie has had the honour of performing for Toronto’s Black Diamond Ball in 2022 and the Alberta Legislative Assembly’s 2021 Black History Month Celebration. You can also find Stephanie on a variety of podcasts such as Postal Code Chronicles and Becoming Ourselves. 

In addition to music, Stephanie is also a self-published author. Her first poetry book titled “i am”  explores blackness, womanhood and the complexities that come with having a relationship with God.
